Bircher Mueslie

HELLO SPRING! Made these tragically hipster Bircher Mueslie jars this morning that kids of any age can so easily construct and they have a triple dose of benefits. Gets them in the kitchen and getting creative, gets them in the garden picking beautiful edible spring flowers to garnish their creations and they're super healthy.

There's no strict recipe which is half the fun because the kids can just throw in whatever they like. All you need is:

2 cups of quick oats

1 3/4 cups of milk

1/4 cup apple juice

Pinch of cinnamon

Mix together and soak for 1 hour in the fridge.

Now the fun!

The kids can add whatever they like. Here are some suggestions:

Sultanas, raisins, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, pecans, hazelnuts, berries, the list goes on!

Now sprinkle with shredded apple, natural Greek yogurt, honey to taste and edible flowers to garnish (just make sure you wash the flowers) ... yummmm!
